Credit restoration is designed to assist our clients in getting back on their financial feet. Want a line of credit? Credit cards? A mortgage? Credit repair can dramatically improve your chances of getting loans again soon.

 What Is Credit Repair?

Many consumers are under the impression that nothing can be done to improve their credit score after a bankruptcy or foreclosure. Thankfully, this is not true. Federal law gives you the right to remove or correct misinformation on your credit reports. You are ultimately responsible for assuring that your credit reports accurately represent your behavior as a consumer.

Some clients don’t know that how the credit bureaus list a bankruptcy or debt settlement on your credit report once the case is compete can have a dramatic impact on your overall credit score. Once your debt reduction case is complete, our credit repair department will contact you to assist you in reviewing your credit report to make sure that the credit bureaus have reported the case accurately on your personal report.

Creditors must comply with Federal and State Rules and Regulations in regards to reporting accurate creditor information on an individual. If reporting agencies such as Equifax, Experian and Transunion incorrectly or negligently provide creditor information, fines and penalties can be imposed, and proper and correct information must be updated to your credit report. We ensure after bankruptcy that Experian, Equifax and TransUnion accurately report to ensure that you receive a “fresh start” that Bankruptcy provides. We will help you to rebuild your score so you can continue to pursue your dreams to own a house, buy a car or save for your family or retirement.

In addition to double-checking that your bankruptcy or debt settlement has been properly reported on your credit report, our credit repair team can give you advice on steps you can take to provide you with positive marks on your credit in the future. If your credit reports contain misinformation, our law firm is here to help you restore your credit. Our credit consultants will look at your credit report and walk through it step by step with you. Checking your credit report often with trained eyes can not only help you find errors, but it can also help you catch identity theft in the early stages.

How Does Credit Repair Work?

Our attorneys leverage your consumer rights to engage the credit bureaus and creditors to remove the inaccurate/unverifiable items from your credit report. We have extensive experience challenging items, so we know the tactics that get results. Our methods are legal and permanent.

We demand validation and verification of derogatory information using the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. These five laws have been established to protect consumers’ credit reports. Creditors and credit bureaus are legally obligated to produce documented evidence within a reasonable amount of time, generally 30 days, to back the claims they make. If they cannot validate their claims, they must promptly remove any undocumented information from the consumer’s credit report.

What Can Credit Repair Delete?

Here are some examples of methods that our credit repair team has used to improve the credit of past clients after bankruptcy and debt settlement:

  • Added your monthly rent to your credit to make sure that credit gets a positive hit each month you pay your landlord on time
  • Deleted short sales from your credit report
  • Deleted foreclosures from your credit report
  • Deleted bankruptcies from your credit report
  • Deleted collections from your credit report
  • Deleted late/missed payments from your credit report

How Much Does Credit Repair Cost?

Our law firm offers performance-based credit repair services. This means that our fees are earned when you have an item deleted from your credit report. If we don’t get a deletion, you don’t pay.  Clients are also required to sign up for a third party credit monitoring service that allows us and you to track the success of our work. Many credit repair companies require you to make a monthly file maintenance fee payment, but we do not.

Our Credit Repair Process

Your credit consultant will look at your TransUnion, Experion and Equifax credit reports and go over them with you line by line. (If you don’t have your current reports we can pull them instantly for you.)

If you decide that you would like to proceed with our program, your credit consultant will put together a plan of attack to get your negative and incorrect items removed from your credit reports in accordance with the FCRA, HIPAA, FCBA and other consumer laws.

You will begin to receive correspondence from credit reporting agencies within the first 30-45 days. Simply send any correspondence to us using the labels we provide to you in your welcome packet.

You can monitor our efforts and success by reviewing your credit each month to determine what we have deleted on your behalf. You have a right to monitor your own credit and our efforts –you can rest assured knowing that everything possible will be done to help you reach your credit goals.

We have a dedicated staff able to assist with your future financial needs. We can provide advice, and information on how best to manage your current credit to maximize the impact to your qualifying ability. We also have many avenues to help you get the lines of credit you want.

Every client has a different credit history, so it is important to call and make an appointment with our credit repair department so you can get personalized advice on what credit repair methods may work for you. We believe that everyone has a right to a bright financial future, and would be happy to consult with anyone interested in learning more about the credit repair process.
